I found this very helpful in my "72 Galaxie. people would start tailgating
me, so i'd put my foot about a quarter of the way down on the brake and
leave it there and even though i wasn't slowing down they would. My
Galaxie was such a wonderful car, thge brakes didn't actually apply until
my foot was half way down.
