I know more people that have totaled cars at the speed limit or lower than above. It is just the people going 110 in rush hour that get on the news. Laura was going 35 in a 35. She was not paying proper attention to the road. The truck in front of her quickly changed lanes. She then noticed that there was construction only in the center lane, which is the lane she was in. She braked but drove straight into the construction and totalled her car. My sister was driving 35 in a 35 and was run off a pickup that apparently didn't see her Miata (he never stopped). She totalled her car. Jake was going 110 in a 55. He went off the road around a curve marked at 35. After sliding to a stop in a field, his car needed an allignment. All are real. All happened to people I know. Using the anecdotal logic that you seem to subscribe to, they prove that speeding is safer than not. Marc For email, remove second "y" from Gumbyy@ticnet.com
