Libertarians can hardly "do something" politically without being
elected to office.  If "independent" just means you switch between the
two parties in power, it's not really all that independent.

Yes, the bill is just a giveaway to credit card companies too stupid
to assess risks.  The main unintended consequence will probably be an
increase in Chapter .45 bankruptcies.
