Practice is to post the FAQs to the specific group, a config group, and a 
general knowledge group.  Thus, the groups dc.jobs, dc.config, and dc.jobs.
dc.general is used similar to the big 8's news.answers newsgroup to get 
the information in a common area for dc.* users.

Where do you see the term "moderator" used?

I monitor the group, not moderate it.  By the way, a lot of folks have 
sent me notes of support on this.  Sorry that you don't agree.  If you 
had watched the group over the last year, it was quite ridden with 
off-topic and out-of-area postings, and was becoming nothing more than a 
mirror of the larger misc.jobs hierarchy.  That has diminished quite a bit.  
Now, it consists mostly of posts that are relevant to the DC area.  There 
is still the occasional off-topic or inappropriate post.

If you have suggestions to improve the guidelines, send them along.
