We justified it as part of moving expenses. You get a special cable from Garmin. One version, to use at home, just connects to the gps and the computer; the other has a third fork to plug into the cigarette lighter, to keep the gps from eating batteries -- as it usually does. > >> I interface it (under W98, alas!) with the >> following: >> >> Garmin's own MapSource Topo and MapSource >> Metroguide DeLorme TopoUSA 3.0 and 4.0 >> DeLorme 3-D TopoQuads (TN) >> National Geographic Mid-Atlantic USA (really >> Topo!) Sigh. Again, are we talking the same thing here? I'm thinking of maps of hunting trails, hiking trails, and -- for as long as it takes us to househunt -- streets & roads.I don't *think* wireless internet access is relevant to what I'm trying to ask at the moment (WINE use) -- though I'm interested in that for other reasons, but less so than in satellite broadband (new post coming!) -- RR 'Beartooth' Neuswanger <karhunhammas (at) lserv.com> retiree & linux greenhorn running Pan 0.11.2 under RH 7.2 Keep in mind that I have no idea what I am talking about.
