Several people mentioned that our meeting notices, which I post in
this newsgroup, arrive late. I normally see them in our news stream
within a day, but perhaps other people experience longer delays. 

To check this, I'm sending this message on Tuesday, Nov. 28 in the
afternoon; I expect that it should reach most news spools within, say,
two days. Please respond to me if you think that this message arrived
at your news spool on or after Friday, December 1.

PS I know that the announcements I send to comp.os.linux.announce
often take very long to show up, but that is because c.o.l.a is
moderated and they have long and unpredictable lead times.
