hi, i run slackware 2.3 on my home machine and have noticed an odd problem:
the /etc/wtmp and /etc/utmp files done seem to be being properly processed.
applications lik who, users, w and uptime, that include either the number of
currently logged in users or lists who's logged in, only show user root on
tty1 or report only one current user (root on tty1) even when i have many
logins running. even finger, which will display all the accounts currently
logged in, will incorrectly report the user count as "1". any ideas what i may
need to change?
