Help with xfig?

I'm using xfig (binaries obtained by anonymous ftp from sunsite.unc.edu)
under Linux on a 486 clone with a 14" .28dpi monitor.

Source doesn't seem to be available, only binaries, so I don't get a
shot at compiling it for myself.

The problem is that xfig comes up larger than the screen -- I can't get
to all of it. I can get it to fit the screen by invoking it with a
'geometry' flag, but the subpanels are clipped, so I still can't get to
all of it.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Tom Anastasio
