But those 2 gig drives don't come with a Boca IDE Plus board, preconfigured for Secondary master drive. The Boca board also has dual serial and parallel ports for what it's worth. And to top it off, this isn't just a plain old vanilla drive unformatted with nothing on it, it's got a proven, stable Linux implimentation on it, all preset, complete with a welcome.txt that tells even complete novices how to set it up, and get it on the net ASAP. Also comes with lots of applications like 'tkined', 'scotty', SNMP and snmp browser, loads of libraries and their sources. Basically this saves probably a hundred or more hours of download and compile time. Also has all of the how-tos as well. This is intended for someone who doesn't have much experience with UNIX or Linux. It's intended to let someone who's not particularly technically-inclined be up and running X-windows and being an internet host within hours of plopping the drive and board into their case. -- = Be kind to your | When the going gets weird the weird turn pro. neighbors even though | http://www.clark.net/pub/klaatu/ they be transgenic | Now. chock full of uninteresting links. chimerae. |-- Genesis 19:1-13 - Hebrews 13:2 -- = ------ =A9 copr 1997 TJH Internet SP all rights reserved ------------ "No. No. I am NOT allright."
