** SHOW TUNES CIRCLE (formerly Washington Show Tunes) **

This is an informal, for-fun-only singing group. STC is for
people who love contemporary musicals, but who don't have the
time and/or the talent to perform in a musical production.
STC DOES NOT PERFORM PUBLICLY. We meet in a private home,
form a cozy circle, and sing musicals. The group meets one
Thursday evening each month. (That may grow to two per
month.) Instruments (violins, flutes, guitars, etc.) are
welcome.

NOTE: We changed the name of the group for a specific
reason. "Washington Show Tunes" sounds like a performing
ensemble. And, some people have expressed an interest in a
group with higher aspirations than what we are doing. I
think that would be a great idea. If someone wants to start
such a group, then by all means -- GO FOR IT! A notice on the
Internet would be a great way to start.

But, THIS group is for amateurs to sit around, listen to some
show music, and sing along for fun. No high aspirations, and
no pressure! If interested, please send some e-mail.

P.S. This is not meant primarily as a social group per se,
and the focus is definitely singing; but it might not be such
a bad way to meet some folks, either.
