Star Trek Exhibit Advance Tickets?

My brother is coming in to town and I would like to take
him to this exhibit. I understand that it is very popular and
I was wondering if there was any way of increasing my chances
of getting to take him to it such as buying tickets in advance.
Or if I just need to get up really early in the morning. And
how early is really early in the morning if you want to be sure
you get in.
Also when is the exhibit leaving.
Thanks,
Andrew

You can get tickets ahead of time for $2.50 apiece through any TicketMaster outlet; I did this a couple weeks ago, and it worked fine. Advice: order about a week in advance. You have to specify the time you want to go in _to within fifteen minutes_. As for the "get up really early in the morning", it would have to be _really_ early. That line fills up fast. > > Also when is the exhibit leaving. > I don't know that part, other than it is at very least here for the whole summer. >Thanks, >Andrew Your welcome, Jerry

The show itself is free, but you'd have to pay the service charge, $2.50 I think. The show has been extended until January. Steve

The tickets are free, however, TicketMaster charges $2.50 handling fee per ticket. The DC area phone number for TicketMaster is (202) 432-7328.

You can get the tickets at Ticketmaster outlets. (I think that's the one, call them to make sure.) The tickets are free (as they are at the Smithsonian) but if you buy them at the outlet, you have to pay their "service charge", $3.50, I think. Still, if avoiding getting up in the morning is worth as much to you as it is to me, that's not so much to pay. :-) -- Jim --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jim Edwards-Hewitt jim@visix.com | Work, work, work. I have been told by people working the exhibit the following:
1. Approximately 3,400 people come through the exhibit daily (weekdays and
weekends)
2. The line for the tickets forms early and is long. It is best to get there
no later than 8:00 am.
3. It's a good idea to get the tickets from TicketMaster even though there is
a $2.50 service fee. That way you won't waste your time and you won't be
disappointed by not getting in the day you want.
4. Some people have been lucky about getting tickets quickly and with very
little problem--they are the exception; not the rule.

I just called the NASM. The exhibit is leaving January 31, 1993.
