Anyone have any recommendations on a good newsreader.

I'm looking for the following features:

- HTML compatible
- Can flag messages to easily find them again
- Can search through both message headers and bodies
- Easily search through news group list to find the group you want (keyword
search)

Thanks!

That's not a "feature"; it's a bug, despite what the NS and M$ folks
may have you belive....

I recommend Forte Agent. It is very good and inexpensive. However, it starts
an external viewer for HTML-Code (but HTML-Code isn't wanted in the USENET
anyway, only beginners use it because of Microsoft and Co.). You can
download a freeware version with less features for free at
http://www.forteinc.com . However, I recommend the full version, because the
free version does not know character encoding for 8-Bit characters.

You forgot to mention one minor thing: the platform you want it to run
on. Character-based Unix? X Windows? Macintosh? DOS? OS/2? Windows
NT? or, uh... mumble... :-)
