Beschraenkung fuer uucp-Mail abzuschaffen.

Tschuess, Vera

[Something in German]

Oops - sorry for using German in international groups. I made a followup
to an article in our local hierarchy (bln.*) and didn't notice that the
author of the original article wrote to a bunch of newsgroups (including
international groups). He tried to limit the propagation of his article
using the (illegal) distribution "Germany". Due to the features of my
newsreader my article has the same bad distribution... :-{

Sorry for the inconvenience.

In the past there have been postings to this newsgroup in foreign
languages, accidental or otherwise. This is the first time that a
poster has not been promptly chastised for doing so. Is there any
particular reason that articles to this newsgroup should be in the
English language (except, of course, to maximize the audience)? I
cannot see what the problem is and would like to propose a rule of
thumb: If you don't understand the Subject:, don't bother reading the
article. I will post in Icelandic if I so choose, albeit not holding
my breath for feedback.

In short, there is no need to apologize for a posting in German,
not to me at least.
