An Accurate and Robust Face Identification Scheme
and Image Warping

The talk proposes a scheme that offers accurate and robust indentification
of human faces. The scheme is characterized by four techniques:
 - colour image segmentation for facial feature detection,
 - sub-space classification for traget image extraction,
 - K-L expansion of an invariant feature space for robust feature extraction,
 - the use of 3D CG modelling of human face to design a face classifier.
Flexibility of the scheme under a wide range of image acquisition
conditions is confirmed through the assessment of an experimental face
identification system.
