key revokation, revokation lists

Hi there

I have a question about key revoking.

First of all:
How do I have to revoke my personal certificate as a user who uses
Netscape Navigator 3.0?
How can I generate a key revocation and how do I have to send it
to the CA?

Does SSL support a similar mechanism as PGP?
In PGP, a user is able to generate a key revokation with the
'-kd' option.

Second problem:
How does a CA handle such a key revokation? Does the 'ca' from
SSLeay support key revokation lists? I think the 'R' entry in the
index.txt can't be the solution of this problem.

Thanks in advance and have a nice day
