Xfig verfuegt ueber eine Datei namens CompKeyDB, in der festgelegt wird,
welche Tastatureingaben (genauer: KeySyms) welche Zeichen in den Text
einfuegen. Insbesondere kann man durch Tastenkombinationen nationale
Sonderzeichen, darunter auch Umlaute, eingeben. Beispiel: Auf einer
Sun-Tastatur druecke ich die Tasten [Compose], [a] und ["], um ein "ae" zu
erhalten, [Compose], [s], [s] fuer ein scharfes s. Daneben bleibt die
Moeglichkeit, die Umlaute mit Hilfe von xmodmap direkt auf bestimmte Tasten
zu legen.
