Hab' mal die Konsole und den Crash-Reporter aktiviert (kenne mich damit allerdings nicht aus) mit folgendem Ergebnis: Console.log meldet nach Startversuch von QT Player: *** malloc[278]: Deallocation of a pointer not malloced: 0xffffffff; This could be a double free(), or free() called with the middle of an allocated block; Try setting environment variable MallocHelp to see tools to help debug 2002-05-26 10:01:24.791 loginwindow[252] Can't connect to pbs object "RulebookServer" 2002-05-26 10:01:24.792 loginwindow[252] Can't connect to pbs object "RulebookServer" May 26 10:01:24 localhost /usr/libexec/CrashReporter: Succeeded writing crash report: /Users/pewi/Library/Logs/QuickTime Player.crash.log Crash.log meldet nach Startversuch von QT Player: Date/Time: 2002-05-26 10:01:24 +0200 OS Version: 10.1.4 (Build 5Q125) Command: QuickTime Player PID: 278 Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001) Codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS (0x0001) at 0x01b89270 Thread 0: (threads #0 bis #17 werden angezeigt) PPC Thread State: (39 Register Stati werden angezeigt) Gibt es in dieser Welt jemanden, der mir weiterhelfen kann, meinen QT Player wieder zum Laufen zu bringen?

G'day All,
I understand that sometimes people confuse the 'aus' in aus
computers.mac with Austrian ... that explains the German posting!
Thought I'd try something different - got a German/English translation
program on an old MacFormat CD - here's the translation:
BTW - I spek no German, and OS X/*nix is a different language to me :)
Good Luck!

Subject: Help looks for: QuickTime Player is finished unexpected
Under Mac OS X of 10.1.4 lets itself QuickTime Player of 5.0.2 no longer
starts, the start becomes breaks off with the hint: "The program
'QuickTime Player' was finished unexpected. The system and different
programs are away not concerned."
Sometimes QT Player starts however, but then the unexpected follows
Closure, if under his menu the [QT Preferenzen] or a ([MPEG]-) film is
opened. Becomes OT Playe] to new-desk of different User (e.g. "guest"
or "Root") starts, he runs perfect.
QuickTime same seems therefore to run, because pictures and MPEG-Files
also in the Finder and in different Applikationen perfectly is
represented.
Erasure of~/ Library/Preferences/QuickTime Preferences has nothing
brings.
[Hab'] time the bracket and the Crash-reporter activate (knows me so
that
however not out of) with following result:
Console.lo] notify to start-attempt of QT Playe]:
