dem IT Sektor in Irland.

John Sterne <john@sterne.ie>.

IT's Monday - AN INTRODUCTION

The IT's Monday news was launched last May and is intended for MIS
managers, software developers, network service providers, and computer
and telecommunications equipment suppliers. Essentially it is plugging
the gap left by the mainstream newspapers and magazines which
now regard computing and telecommunications stories as too
specialized for their readers.

What follows are the contents lists of the last four issues. The front-
end news items are generally four to eight paragraph stories. The
'What's Happenings' are single paragraphers, divided between Irish
and international events. There is also a diary of the week's
forthcoming events at the end of each issue.

The annual subscription is 250 Irish Pounds plus 21 per cent VAT, payable by
cheque or credit card. Delivery is via Internet to virtually any public
e-mail sevice. What I supply is ASCII text, which means that subscribers
can run it on any hardware platform with any text storage and retrieval
software. After eight months IM has already built up into a text database
of around 1.1 Mb. A fax delivery option is also available, but obviously
does not build up into a database.

Sales and accounts management for IT's Monday are handled by
Computer Publications of Ireland.
