INTRODUCING AN ARTICLE WHICH CAN HELP YOU
BEAT A CERTAIN DANGEROUS CAMPAIGN

The most important contents of this Info is a translation
(made by me recently) of an article originally published in
German on 01.03.2006, Stefan Lanka: "Are there and can there
be diseasecausing viruses?". It follows here after an intro-
ductory comment (which I've chosen to make rather long, en-
deavouring to analyse the political background of the present
"bird flu" scare campaign). I've put the translation sepa-
rately at my homepage too.

This article was written for non-experts. It makes it pos-
sible for everybody to ascertain for him/herself that there
is *no* "virus H5N1" - irrespective of what all the so-called
"experts" of the so-called "World Health Organization" (WHO)
and of the so-called "health authorities" in a number of
countries (including not least those in the USA, that is, the
CDC of the Pentagon), together with all the politicians and
all the big international mass media, are saying - rather
loudly too, at the present time.

And please, readers, help spread the word on this to others.

Why is it important today that people should know that there
is no H5N1?

This was explained already in my Infos #251en (22.02.2006),
'Stefan Lanka interview on "bird flu" etc', and #252en
(28.02.2006), '"klein-klein" and Bangkok Post on "bird flu"'.
Briefly on this once more:

Poultry, in particular such raised industrially, sometimes
get afflicted by a disease, or by a set of diseases, earlier
called "bird pest" and today most often "bird flu". It's
caused by stress, undernourishment and/or certain poisonings.
It's not caused by any virus.

The so-called experts employed by a number of governments, in
particular by those of the so-called "rich" countries, how-
ever are maintaining, incorrectly, that it *is* caused by a
virus, or by a "set of viruses", the "worst" of which, in
this phantom "family", they're calling "H5N1".

They are maintaining, quite wrongly, that poultry "have died"
from "this virus", and even that some people too ("over 200
in the world, so far") "have become fatally infected by it".
They are maintaining, wrongly and absurdly, that "this virus"
is "spreading internationally", either as "transported by
migrating wild birds" or as "contained in transported poultry
meat", or else in some equally illusory and fantastic manner.
They are maintaining, ridiculously incorrectly but all of
them in unison and very loudly, that "there is a danger of a
pandemic" in case that (non-existing) "virus" should
"mutate".

The politicians and the big mass media since several months
back really are making a big hullabaloo about this non-exis-
ting "contagious bird flu". They so far have caused mass
slaughter of poultry in several countries, completely un-
necessary for any genuine health reasons, and thus in reality
considerable wilful economic destruction. They are making
preparations, which have reached different stages in diffe-
rent countries, for handing out some purportedly "protective"
substances, such as Tamiflu, to large parts of the popula-
tion, and for carrying out mass vaccination campaigns, sup-
posedly "against H5N1" or "against a possible mutation of
it".

Precisely this however is what *would* actually cause serious
illness in many and even some deaths, possibly many such too,
since those substances and vaccines are quite harmful.

Ordinary people in all countries, therefore, need to protect
themselves precisely *against* such purported "protection"
campaigns, and as far as possible *prevent their being en-
gaged in* at all, by such governmental authorities which at
some point in the future might want to do this.

It's for this that everybody needs to know, above all, that
there is neither a "H5N1" nor "something similar" which you
need to be "protected against".

But why, then, are those persons in power, and those not so
few people employed by them and anxious to do whatever
they're told by them to do, such as those with some jobs in
the big mass media, a number of various purported "scientific
experts" including, it seems, many doctors - at least in the
"richer" countries - and some others in various other "ideo-
logical" professions too, so very much interested in there
actually coming about such "protection" campaigns, when these
can only cause harm to people instead of the other way
around?

This has to do with the *political* situation in the world
today.


EXPLOITERS, OPPRESSORS AND MASS MURDERERS
STILL RULE THE PLANET

Intensive class struggle continues in the world, to a large
part not openly visible but "under the surface". The ruling
imperialist bourgeoisie, gathered around US imperialism as
its main and strongest representative, is opposed by the
workers in all countries and by the internationally-oppressed
and exploited peoples, who constitute the majority of the
planet's population.

The present-day rule by some small minority cliques is a very
brutal business. As seen from the vantage point of some coun-
tries in Europe such as Sweden, where I'm writing this Info,
this may not appear so palpably obvious. But it's a fact
that, in the world as a whole, each year at least 11 million
people, including more than 8 million children, die from en-
tirely preventable causes, starvation and disease, which re-
main as they are precisely because of the existing interna-
tional, capitalist/imperialist, system of exploitation. That
is the number of preventable deaths, thus in reality kil-
lings, which were stated to occur annually in a report in the
year 2002 by the so-called WHO, which there are good reasons
to believe was not exaggerating in this respect.

Daily mass murder, thus, is a characteristic feature of the
present-day world "order", mass killings constantly caused
"just" by that "order" itself. This will continue as long as
that whole international social system which reigns today is
not overthrown.

The system's brutality is at its most obvious in the many
poorer countries, which are poor because they are being op-
pressed and exploited internationally. The ruling imperia-
lists want the people there to remain as more or less ex-
tremely cheap labour power for them. When the oppressed
peoples revolt against this, the imperialists strive to crush
those revolts by means of  ("traditional" or openly-violent)
warfare, as is well-known since long:

The war against Vietnam by the US imperialists in the 1960s
and 1970s, the war against Afghanistan by the Soviet social-
imperialists in the 1980s and the now ongoing wars against
Iraq and against Afghanistan by the US imperialists and some
allies of theirs are all examples of this. The most devasta-
ting and murderous of these imperialist wars in recent times
was/is the one against the DR Congo from 1998 on, which still
continues in part also after an official "peace settlement"
in 2002 and in which the US and other imperialists instigated
some proxies of theirs, with the UN doing nothing against
this either, to attack and invade that country, in which the
people had had "the audacity" of striving to set up a new and
really democratic and anti-exploitation type of state - see
for instance my "NEWS ON CONGO 060" on this. That war has
cost the lives of some 4 million Congolese.

In the "rich" or "semi-rich" countries, such as those here in
Europe, there on the whole have not been all that many impe-
rialist killings, by means of such openly-violent warfare, in
the decades after World War II - the instigated fratricide in
(ex-)Yugoslavia in the 1990s and  later the openly-imperia-
list intervention there being a certain exception. The ruling
capitalists during many decades have tried to keep the
peoples in North America and West Europe "quiet" and "reaso-
nably satisfied" by means of handing out to them some parts
of those enormous superprofits which they have been, and are,
obtaining by their extreme exploitation of the peoples in
many countries in Africa, Asia and South America, above all.

But with its continued and even increasing exploitation and
oppression in the so-called "rich" countries too, capitalism
has continued to create its own (at least potential) grave-
diggers also in those countries. The eruption of the broad
leftist student and youth movement in the late 1960s, which
in some countries was embraced by not so few industrial
workers too, was one result of this, which together with the
continuing liberation struggles in the internationally-
oppressed countries and the then ongoing Cultural Revolution
in China made the ruling imperialists (and social-imperia-
lists) become increasingly afraid, from that point in time
on, that they might actually "lose" the planet.

A main and quite large counterattack of these ruling
cliques', starting approximately in the late 1960s / early
1970s and continuing with increasing intensity today, has
been and is their "green" warfare (see that subject under
"Subjects in postings"), directed against the people in all
countries including, not least, those in the "richer" ones,
whose industrial development, the "leading" political repre-
sentatives of the capitalists have come to calculate, had
"gone too far", was and is "risking" that there might be "too
many" industrial workers in the more highly-developed,
"richer" countries, who might then become "too strong" both
economically and, not least, politically.

Thus they started their arch-reactionary "green" de-indus-
trialization programmes, sacrificing a certain part of their
own profit-making possibilities, inventing phony "giant en-
vironmental problem" after phony "giant environmental prob-
lem" after ... for their mass media hyenas to howl to high
heaven about day in and day out, and for their bribed/
deceived phony"left" bullshitters to peddle, week in and week
out, as "anti-capitalist criticism", so as to try to cover up
the fact that these de-industrialization programmes of theirs
were and are most rabid attacks against vital interests of
practically everybody on earth.

These retrogression programmes, an important part of which is
a systematic striving, by the main imperialist forces, to
make all energy as scarce and expensive as possible (in order
to create mass unemployment, above all), since several de-
cades back are killing, "on the sly", not only millions of
people in the poorer, internationally-exploited countries
each year but also rather many in those countries which are
still being called "rich" - in the UK, for instance, some
30,000 per year just by freezing to death, above all among
poorer elderly people who cannot afford the enormous energy
bills for the heating of their flats or houses in that
country.

In likewise "rich" Germany too, and in many parts of the USA,
ordinary people are being hit quite hard by this "green" war-
fare directed in particular against the energy provisioning.
(Here in Sweden too, a country which was earlier relatively
modern as to energy, the same crunch is being felt more and
more; since back in 1980, the politicians of all shades here
now take great pride in being "world champs" at "environment
protection" - read, sabotage of modern energy production fa-
cilities, and propaganda internationally for everybody's
harking to His Master's Voice, that of  US imperialism, on
this.)

The people in these countries too more and more are expe-
riencing quite directly the consequences of the continued
rule of the bourgeoisie in the world: By energy's "so
strangely" only becoming more and more expensive when one
"would expect" precisely the opposite (have science and
technology perhaps suddenly stopped developing in the world,
in this important respect?), by the constant and even in-
creasing mass unemployment, by the present attacks, in con-
nection with this, for cutting down the wages and salaries of
those ordinary people who do have jobs and for making their
living conditions deteriorate in other ways too.

More and more are the ruling reactionary cliques being dis-
trusted and also concertedly opposed by the people, including
those in the "richer" countries. The recent mass strikes in
France against a new anti-labour law were paralleled by simi-
lar actions in Germany and the UK. In the USA, there have
been unprecedentedly large demonstrations for immigrants'
rights. The imperialists are becoming increasingly isolated,
and more and more are fearing the people in all countries.

This is why they now are also resorting to such a method of
trying to terrorize people everywhere, and if possible to
murder many too -  this also in the "rich" countries - as
their present "bird flu" campaign, with its megapropaganda
swindle scare attempt.

This campaign one may characterize - as I did in Info #252en
and as Stefan Lanka and Karl Krafeld in Germany had already
done too (as quoted in my #252en) - as a kind of warfare
against the masses of people. It's one somewhat similar to,
and parallel to, that "green" warfare which the imperialists
have been engaging in since some four decades back now. I'm
calling it a *quackery warfare* type of campaign.

Actually, this type of warfare against the people, on the
part of the ruling bourgeoisie, is nothing new at all. It has
been going on for at least a couple of centuries, as I on my
part have learned only rather recently, among other things by
reading two books which you can find on the Internet and
which I'm also recommending to others in the present context,
that concerning the "bird flu" scare hoax campaign:

Eleanor McBean: "The Poisoned Needle" (1957), and Eleanora I.
McBean: "Swine Flu Expose" (1977). (The two authors, both
from the USA, are possibly mother and daughter, I'm gues-
sing.) These books are bringing some information on certain,
historically and politically obviously quite important,
"precedents to" the present "bird flu" instance of quackery
warfare. It would carry too far to go into the questions of
these now; this I'm saving for a later Info (or perhaps se-
veral).
