The Strathfield Library is a few minutes walk from Homebush Station, or a
quick Taxi ride from Strathfield. Parking is plentiful. Tea/coffee on hand.

For anyone wanting to make a day out for the family - the Flemington/Paddys
Markets are close by, Asian restaurants are plentiful at the Flemington shops,
or the Wanfu next to Strathfield Plaza has economical Yum Cha for lunch.

I just noticed this message and thought that perhaps you people should get in touch with Museums Australia, which is the national museum and art gallery
association. I live in Perth where the first Museums national conference will take place in November, and i hve found the professional museum people extremely helpful. I would suggest phoning the powerhouse museum and seeing if they can give you some leads to follow.
In WA there is a travelling curator and a local museums advice service. The
organisation is by regional chapters, bu tthey are very, very keen to help.

A name you might try at the powerhouse is kerry anne Dougherty. Kerry Anne is a PR person there and might have all the right contacts.
