"A Practical Comparison of some PORTABLE H.P. Computers"
All members and friends are invited to attend the October Meeting
of the ACMS to be held on Sunday, 13th October, 1996 from 1:30 pm
at Strathfield Municipal Library, Rochester Street, Homebush.
Guest SPEAKER for the month...
Our Treasurer, John Geremin, has been collecting various pieces
of Hewlett Packard Computing and Calculating equipment for over
ten years. He has offered to give a non-academic talk on four
rather different portable systems. Each one has some unusual
and obscure features which were often not continued in future
models. All these were marketed as 'portable computers' ie not
pocket calculators, not 'wheel-about' minicomputers, but genuinely
luggable - usually with proper carry cases supplied.
Please REPLY for more information or to book so that we can
organise the catering for afternoon tea. Finish time is 4:30 pm.
