"Santa comes but once a year - but these NOP SIG bargains will keep you busy for months and months..." -------------------------------------------------------------- DECUS Australia announces:- XMAS MEETING of BROOKVALE LUG and NOP SIG - 9th DEC. 1993. Pacific Digital Resale - Trash & Treasure BBQ. ============================================= Bill Allan from PDR has agreed to host the final meeting for 1993 at the new big warehouse at 42B Wattle Street, Brookvale, starting from 5pm onwards, (with BBQ and refreshments at cost). Following the success of the last treasure hunt held in near darkness Bill has decided to repeat his offer - another big 'trash-and-treasure' market for old cabinets, power supplies and other assorted hardware - (not only Digital labels). Here is your chance to fix that broken wheel or slide or to put all your gear into a proper cabinet. Prices will be minimal, eg around scrap metal prices - you can't lose. Bring your own tool-kit and box-trailer. All pockets will be weighed on departure. The formal part of the meeting will be a short talk from Bill Allan on his recent trip to the United States for a meeting of the Digital Dealers Association and COMDEX. Come and meet Mike Chevallier who takes over as NOP SIG Chairman from 1st January,1993. Has your local sales person told you about the new Digital VT510 Single-Session Text Terminal? Come and see a brochure - they claim 17 different emulations. RSVP:- All network users are to reply via e-mail to IN%"gayford@decus.com.au". Others to John at Megatronics on 02-764 4855. Note:- Bargain hunters should arrive early as there will be limited daylight in which to work (or bring a torch). Bring a 'brolly if it rains. John Geremin (Brookvale LUG Chairman) and Tom Gayford, on behalf of Chester WILSON, NOP SIG Chairman. -------------------------------- P.S. If you can't make it then, a Merry (and SAFE) Xmas to All. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note : If you are interested in vintage Digital products and are not yet a DECUS member then please contact the office on 02-561 5239 to join.
