Hello Again, another technical puzzle (to me).

Q. What is different between 11/84 memory and 11/83 memory.

I was just about to pull apart an 11/84 to build up an 11/83 system
and I noticed that the DEC book lists the following:-

MSV11-JB 1MB ECC MEMORY (M8637-BA)	for 11/84
MSV11-JC 2MB ECC MEMORY (M8637-CA)	for 11/84
and
MSV11-JD 1MB ECC MEMORY (M8637-DA)	for 11/83
MSV11-JE 2MB ECC MEMORY (M8637-EA)	for 11/83
and
MSV11-RA 1MB PARITY PMI MEMORY (M7458-AA) for 11/84-P,11X84-P

Can I use the M8637 memory modules from an 11/84 box in a normal
BA23 system?

Do I need to change any jumpers or anything?

Any help gratefully received.

Regards, John G.	(e-mail replies preferred)
