Whereas I'm trying to figure out why, if I do the following:
start a dos prog (such as an editor)
shell out to dos
x (where x.bat contains cd\foobar)
exit
I am now accessing \foobar as my current directory (as I would hope)
unless I did this in a dos box under NT 3.5. Works fine in
DOS 5, DOS 6.2, WfWG 3.11, Win95.
It also works fine in NT if I type cd\foobar instead of x, so it
seems to have something to do with running a batch file.
Anyone any advice? It's driving me scatty having to type in
long pathnames by hand.
