Oh, can't it?  Of course, you can always do the traditional "out of
memory" action - exit...

It is 'obvious', but the GNU people aren't interested (the 'official'
language of the GNU project is C, not C++, and it seems no-one is
interested in hacking indent to do C++; having looked at the code, nor am
I!).  I probably will end up writing one in self-defense sometime <g>...
