Hes dead right.  Although not demon's fault.  BT charge a minimum of 
5p (4.95) for every call made that connects (eg isn't engaged).  So 
even if the call gets through but we get no carrier, or the connect 
doesn't happen then we get charged 5p !!!  These all add up !
