Having some problems with getting connected etc. with Stik. Pretty basic, I'm afraid. I've configured the files and it seems to connect, or so the status message reads. But then nothing happens. It goes back to the desktop and waits for me to do something. What do I do? Just wait? Pray?...... I've tried running IRC; again nought! Just a flashing curser and no response to any commands I type in. Then it just cuts off, telling me the session is over. The cheek! And then there's CAB. The problem there is that the documentation tells me to create a cache folder and put it in a partition on my hard disc, which I have done dutifully. Then I am supposed to specify the drive containing this folder in the main programme of CAB under paths (which is in German, of course!) When I click on the drive info under 'path directory', a file selector comes up but it's usually for C (boot) or perhaps the drive I'm running CAB from. I can't alter it in any way to tell it where I've put the cache folder. Maybe I've got the wrong end of the stick here..... Can anyone help? Are there any clear, simple instructions for setting up CAB anywhere? Any advice appreciated. from: mark@anyworld.demon.co.uk
