🚀 go-pugleaf

I've just started trying to use the new Southampton POP, and dsicovered it's an
Ascend. So I dug out all the info posted here over the last few weeks, printed
it out, actioned it, and away I went.

None of it worked. I still couldn't connect.
I added wait 1000 and status up to the end of my dial.txt, but no joy.
I am using NOS 0.42, so it's not that either.

The old Isle of Wight pop, I used to send this appears to be dying (I have
started getting a lot of 'dead' connections, and I've NEVER had them before).
Apparently Demon are going to stop support soon, so if I don't get Southampton
working, I'm in deep trouble.

When I dial, everything seems to go very slowly ie. it's ages before the login
prompt appears then sometimes it hangs before logging in, sometimes after.
Always Crap. Good old Demon.

I thought ok, let's try STiK and CAB. Similar thing, ages to login, then
eventually the line always drops. All I did for STiK was change the phone
number is that right?

Do I need to change modem settings or anything (it's a USR Sportster 28,800).

Help, I'm getting very desperate.
