Is accessing the internet via an ST a waste of time??

I recently got a Demon account and have been extremely disappointed
with access via an ST. So much so that I intend terminating my account.

However, this assumes that my following conclusions are correct:

	FTP access is no problem.

TELNET access is possible. However, invariably it is assumed that
the minimum terminal emulation capability is that of a VT100.
But the ST default emulation is a VT52.

WWW access is possible by logging onto a machine running the Lynx
browser. However, as above, this assumes at least a VT100 emulation
	capability.

Are my conclusions correct? Is ST access via Demon limited to newsgroups,
e-mail and FTP access?

Is there any way of emulating a VT100, whilst logging onto Demon?

Hopefully you'll persuade me not to terminate my account!

Thanks,

Joe Tully
