problems with sending mail

I am having serious problems trying to send mail from the OASIS package on my
Falcon. After using a SLIP version (Sept. '95 version), I have just ftp'd the
demon one which is PPP (I did the ftp by using my slip configured OASIS, so some
things are ok!). However, I am still not getting, with the demon version, post
mailed out. With SLIP I was getting mail in fine and I'm sure the PPP will be
the same here - it hasn't yet shown otherwise. But no mail out. When I exit
demon the mail is still sitting in the mailbox ticked and apparently still
waiting to be sent! So what to do? 

If anyone can give me some helpful advice I would much appreciate it.
