After years using MacSlip to connect, I'm now trying to get Remote 
Access to work.  The problems are numerous.  Just occasionally I have 
connected using the normal procedure but then get a "communicating at 
an unknown rate" message and no real connexion. The only way  I can 
connect is either by using the ARA terminal window or by using a 
connect script with modem set to "null modem 57600".  This would be 
fine except that the automatically generated script will fail under 
certain server conditions, eg. when the server is sluggish at peak 
hours.

I have never had any problem over many years using MacSlip, VersaTerm 
Slip  and FreePPP but this remote access thing has me foxed.  I don't 
want to use it but I think I'm going to have to some day soon.

Any ideas?
