Almost any UK site should have excellent bandwidth to ftp.demon.co.uk 
- I was getting 45kbytes/sec dropping a file in /incoming from another 
UK site on Saturday - the LINX has a lot of bandwidth.  The only 
problem likely from a UK site is having a connection refused because 
the max number of anon users are already connected.  European and US 
sites may be, depending on routing, a different matter.
