Apple plans to distribute an updated ROM which includes OT 1.0.6 (apparently not 1.0.7) at the end of September (which means that it's probably being pressed about now). Order yours today; 1 (800) 769-2775 Rumor has it that the OT team is concentrating on getting the peripheral functions, such as multihomeing working rather than working to get OTTCP stable and compatible. I would not expect to see OT 1.0.8 out for some time if at all. >If OT works for you > without too much hassle, use it, otherwise revert to MacTCP. That's just it... MacTCP works with Eudora 2.1.3 and Guy's Emailer, but not Anarchie 1.6.0 (although it *does* work with A1.4.0) and several other Internet Apps. Netscape's email (mailto:) function works with OT, showing that somehow OT *can* talk to SMTP (which is where Eudora & Emailer fail on me.) I have several partitions and systems for the various internet activities. ... read HASSLE... > There's a rumor (unrelated to the above admission that OT is broken) > that the next version of OT will include PPP support, making MacPPP > obsolete.
