Hi, (am crossposting ..support.mac and ..support, since it may be a non-Mac issue -- has anyone managed this on a PC?) I've been trying for hours to get my Apple Macintosh Powerbook G3 (Lombard 333 running Mac OS 8.6) to connect via IrDA to the Orange ROMP using a Nokia 7110e. I've patched the Nokia Infrared script for use with a 7110 as suggested on MacNN (removing E=0) and I'm managing to dial 0973100666 -- but no dice (a very long wait). When I jump into a terminal and dial the modem directly, it calls but I only get 'CARRIER', and cannot get a connect. If I call Green ROMP (via the mobile still), I get the login prompt as usual -- all fine. Has anyone got this working properly? Similarly, can I connect to a remote WAP gateway using the Orange ROMP as the dialin? I haven't managed it yet! Cheers in advance, Tom -- Tom Gidden Litebase Solutions Ltd. e: gid@litebase.com
