I've been suffering slow/intermittent transfer rates connecting to 0844
041 6662 (never can remember the d*d G numbers). Some of those
discussing packet loss on Demon.service are reporting symptoms similar
to those I see (looking at the behaviour of the connection, the line
drops, and the receive/send lights on my modem. Speaking of which, G4
running OS 9.04, Pace 56 voice with (I think) all appropriate upgrades.)

Can anyone suggest any software that I could run to gather the date
useful in a report to dialupfaults? I can ping with DNSlookup, but it
doesn't record packet loss, etc. I presume I can determine which
router/whatever I connect from the ping path?

regards
sarah
