However, my latest connects have been better the latter half of last week and the weekend. It started to clog up again on Sunday. I have Friends and Family plus BT Together with Homewhatsit (ISDN), so the cost is not too bad. This last quarter I whittled my debit down from 70 to 20 UKP. There is a strong possibility we may move to SE Devon in the autumn. I may stop using the ISDN then and get a V90 modem. I dont think I have ever had full value out of ISDN, because of the poor bandwidth. Probably BTs fault not Demon's. I am a bit sceptical about ASDL too, although I have heard good reports from others. > I have the various connection options listed in Free PPP setup, which > itself is one of the selections on another bit of invaluable software, > PPP menu 2.03 produced by Rockstar, which is one little accessory I'd be > loathe to do without. I used to use the FreePPP combo and my son still does on the LC470, but I use OT and the Remote Access Control Strip module under OS 9.0.4. My most used Internet apps have aliases in the Apple menu. My browsers of preference are iCab and Netscape 4.6.1. The latter I use mainly for secure transactions and Java enabled sites that iCab cant cope with. However, I like iCab's speed! Although having said that, I think that Netscape is perceived as slow because it does not render until it has downloaded everything. -- Regards, Shane. "A closed mouth gathers no feet!"
