Hi everybody

Just felt like saying hello to my d.i.s.m. friends, as it's been a long
time since I last posted. I hope everybody's fine... So, who's still using
NewsHopper after all these years then ?

:-)

Cheers;

Laurent

Hi Laurent. Some of us still haven't moved on. Inertia is a strong force

Quite a few, including me, from what I read on the ngs.

d.i.s.m. is much quieter now, since the revolution, but its new republic is
not entirely peaceful. Good to hear from you and isn't it pleasing that
NewsHopper lasts and lasts?

Keith

Still crazy after all these years... The only wish I'd have is a fix for
the 15k article size posting bug, but as it's only been a nuisance once...

NewsHopper gets regular mentions in uk.comp.sys.mac, where we all miss you.

Laurent,

It's great to hear from you. How are you now?

Needless to say, this is still by courtesy of NewsHopper...

Regards,
Howard.

Hi Laurent,

Good to hear from you! Yes, NewsHopper is still going strong here. Hope
you're well and happy.

Best,

-Alan.

Indeed, but I wonder what's going to happen with MacOS X. Has anyone tried
it with the preview version ?

Hello Peter,

Yes I know, this bug is a bit crap... I remember spending some time looking
into it but I failed to see what causes this error. I'm only a programmer
after all :-0

I'm great thanks, my CFS thing is hopefully a thing of the past, and after
7 years in the UK I have recently moved back to France where I'll stay for
a while.

That's it really...

To Lyon? Wasn't that where you used to go for the holidays? Or has my
Alzheimer's finally got the upper hand?

Well you are, obviously, judging by the Message-ID.

I am, too. Most of the traffic which used to be here has moved to
uk.comp.sys.mac. I hope you can someday write us a decent news
client for MacOS X. I understand that there'll be a bundled email
client but not a bundled news client.

Glad to see you're well.

Simon.

I'm still using NewsHopper too, and it works just fine in Mac OS X DP3. In
fact that's what I'm using to send this message.

FWIW DP3 comes with a carbonised build of Newswatcher, but it isn't quite
finished yet -- eg the Font popups are empty.

Richard.

The fun is that you can *also* tell who's using Addmail (or equivalent)...
Provided of course you know they're using NewsHopper.

Good to hear from you! Yes, here's another faithful Newshopper user.

Also good to see Alan S. I still get a twinge of guilt when I remember the
day I stopped using AddMail cos Eudora does the job in one step.

V. best wishes to two of the 'net's Good Guys!
