Problems connecting to Demon with Airport

Dear Mac Demons,

Has anyone had success dialing in to Demon
with the internal Airport Base Station modem
(using an iBook, or whatever)?

If so, can someone give me the scoop - I'm
having no luck at all. I've followed all
instructions in the manual, but the best I can
manage is that the Base Station modem dials
up to Demon, but doesn't connect.

Aiport is working fine computer to computer,
and I used it when I was on the ADSL trial to
connect to Demon with no problems. It's this
pesky modem connection I can't manage.

I'm also going to post this message to
uk.comp.sys.mac, as this forum is quite
small. Sorry about the poor etiquette. :-)

Best, Jar

Well, it would have been better cross-posted in this case, but never mind;
u.c.s.m is full of chaps who have been having the same kind of experience,
and no doubt they'll set you straight. Or failing that, they'll share your
pain...

Yep, I do it every day.

What do you get when it doesn't work ? An error message ?
Do you have your TCP/IP control panel set-up to connect via
Aiport ? Have you fed the correct nodename and password
into your AirPort Admin Utility ?

Simon.
