I've had a setup running nicely with Warp 3.0 and IN-JOY, using WARPDIS for mail and news collection. Now I've upgraded to Warp Connect, I can't get any IP connections to the outside world. I can ping 158.152.1.222, but nothing else, not even a name server. There is no LAN at present. That might change, but one thing at a time... Either I've forgotten to configure something correctly that I had done right with the previous setup, or there is a difference because of Warp Connect's LAN capability. GETMAIL gives me a message saying I should have typed the command ifconfig lo 158.152.245.90 and put an entry in D:\TCPIP\DOS\ETC\HOSTS saying: 158.152.245.90 freereed.demon.co.uk freereed I've done that. It doesn't help. Any help much appreciated, please. Do all the routes look good in the Connection window? There is, but it should work though. :> ifconfig lo 158.152.245.90 No, you should not. If you a local loopback you should use 127.0.0.1. The command would then read ifconfig lo 127.0.0.1 :> 158.152.245.90 freereed.demon.co.uk freereed You can add a line for the localhost (the loopback interface), but I don't think this will help you with your problem. If you can't solve the problem, send me full (all trace options enabled) trace of ONE session. I'll see if anything is wrong there..
