Post problems - NAUTH?

Since black Tuesday, I've been having problems sending email via sendmail 2.02 using post.demon.co.uk as a smart relay. See the excerpt from my sendmail.log: 35 C< 250 OK 35 C> MAIL From:<kickabout-owner@orqwith.demon.co.uk> 35 C< 250 OK 35 C> RCPT To:<gary.p.heath@is.shell.com> 35 C< 550 (NAUTH) Bad authorization: sender 'kickabout-owner@orqwith.demon.co.uk' not authorized to send to address 'gary.p.heath@is.shell.com' : send queries to postmaster@demon.net I run a few mailing lists using hethmon bro's steward listserver software. Is post still sick, or have I been banned? Is running a mailing list against AUP? I have emailed the postmaster, no reply yet. I can run sendmail directly, but I've got a problem with one address where the recipients' SMTP server can't tell the difference between the headers and the message body. Is there a cheap alternative to IBM's sendmail? inetmail is too expensive for my requirements, and doesn't seem as useful as sendmail & deliver. You can only relay via post.demon.co.uk if you are connected via Demon. However, are you sure you are chatting to post.demon.co.uk at the time and not to one of the other machines. Various configuration errors at your end can cause you to try and relay via some machine other than the correct one :( and this will fail. >Is post still sick, or have I been banned?
