Not sure if this is the right newsgroup ( or if there is ever any
traffic in this group), but.....

Does anyone know of a site or a FAQ for connecting a windows CE machine
to Demon.
I have managed to get access to Demon by opening a terminal window once
connected ( reminds of the very old K9? software) but not got the email
end sorted yet.
Would be glad of any help.

CE Machine is Packard Bell Easymate 800 running CE Version 2.11.
MOdem is 56K built in on Com4

Cheers

Thanks Simon for the information.
You were right it was easy, I now have it all sorted.
My main problem seems to have been filling in too many boxes.

For anyone's information setup was as follows:

Under remote networking a new connection was made called Demon.
Modem and then onto TCP/IP settings.

Use server assigned IP address was ticked as was use software
compression and IP header compression.
Primary and secondary DNS servers addresses were then typed in.

On next screen access number was input, though on my machine the 0 of
0845 was omitted.

On clicking on the new connection user name ( the bit between @ and
.demon) and password were filled in. Domain was left blank.

This is the bit were I went wrong as I tried to fill this in with my
domain name.

The email side went fine once this was all done as filled in by Simons
suggestion.

Thanks again for the info, it is nice to see someone looking in this
group.

Cheers
Steve
