I'm trying to connect a Palm V to my demon account using a Nokia 7110e and its IrDa link. Although the phone connects to the 07973 number with the D symbol the Palm V just maintains that dialling is still in progress. I have Palm OS 3.3, the IrDa patch and Orange fax/data enabled. Any advice would be gratefully received... Dom P.S Apologies if this is the wrong newsgroup but there doesn't appear to be a demon.ip.support.palmv_with_nokia one!

It would be nice to get the cheap orange to orange rates, instant connection etc though. Anyone from Demon care to comment on this? Dom

I have managed to get it work with help from someone who knows what they are doing. The trick is in the initialisation string which must be : "AT&FX4+CBST=71,0,1;" Ensure that you don't put in the quotes but do put in the ';' and hey presto. This also works with the demon ISDN numbers Dom
