High Pete The com port card comes from Brainbox, it comes with a piece of software to find the cards address. You can then insert the address in to other dialup programs. Have tried Pints suggestion, no luck. Colin

Hi Colin
Apologies for the delay in responding -- did you manage to get this
sorted? I've since taken a closer look at the GremNOS code (and I
would imagine the Demon KA9Q is the same) and can find no mechanism
whereby the base com port address could be truncated to 12 bits.
If it still isn't working, I can only think that the base address for
this com port is not the only non-standard aspect of the card; have
you managed to connect to and use it using any other software (Kermit,
Telix, etc.)? If the card does not have an 8250 or 16550 SIO chip,
the standard KA9Q build will not work...
Pete
