Finger - My Mail?

I believe it is possible to check for new mail from my Demon account
using Finger. I would like to do this but, alas, although I can get my
mail over Telnet, I would like to check it over Finger. Just for
reference I'm using the windows finger client Cyberkit.
Thanks

The host you need to finger is: your_account_name@post.demon.co.uk
So you would need: goldfinch@post.demon.co.uk
If you are dialled into your Demon account and the finger command you have
supports the "long" option you will get to see who the mail is from and its
length.
