Don't worry, I am a Demon customer and there are several threads on
this newsgroup and d.l where I've seen before and after posts, but not the
post concerned. You only notice because theres a piece missing in someone
else's flamewar.

You should have seen the original on birmingham.misc. It was crossposted
there, after all. If it got blocked, it could have been Dircon blocking
Demon newsgroups, though I wouldn't have thought that was the case -
AFAIK, they just don't carry them on their newsserver.
It would only really make sense to someone who read d.l anyway.

Sometimes due to timing gaps. If you set your 'time since last download'
back an hour or so in DIS, you'll catch these posts.

This thread does appear on demon.local (or at least it appears to me that it does so appear, although, not being a Demon customer myself, I can't positively confirm this) because, as I observed (at rather less length), demon.local does appear in the Newsgroups: header.
