I didn't have the faintest idea where this belonged newsgroup wise, so
I hope no-one gets uppity my selection :-)

I'm trying to find a commercial change-control/logging system to run
on either SCO Unix (not ODT), IBM AIX (X-Win available) or a PC (with
a Novell Network.) 3rd party addons to commercial databases (Informix is
our current database standard) are fine as long as it's a commercial
product and is supported as such.

When I refer to change control, I mean it in its widest sense. From
the user's request for a change, bug-fix, correction or whatever,
through coding, and out of the other end to test and live rollout.

To point you in the right direction, I've played with "ITEM" which is
a mainframe system run by our FM company. This put me off mainframe
change control procedures for life ! I don't know if it's available
on other platforms. Someone also suggested that Lotus-Notes with a
3rd party addon is a possible route, but I don't know this package at
all.

Any hints, tips, pointers etc are welcome !

Steve.
