I can't read the CD from either of the CD drives on the Amiga
(using AmiCDFS 2.40 I thought[1]...) the drives just seem to keep
on trying to read something. Any ideas ?

[1] well that's what I've got in my DosDrivers icons, though version shows
"cdrive.filesystem 3.14" which appears to be something to do with
Ralph Schmidt/phase5.

The marvels of today's modern technology include the development of a
soda can, when discarded will last forever ... and a $7,000 car which
when properly cared for will rust out in two or three years.

Is it a Joliet CD?

That sounds like the CyberstormPPC's inbuilt CD filesystem. either
disable it from the early-startup menu, or mount AmiCDFS on a different
device name, like CD1.

Nope.

Yep, though I've taken Brad/Dave's advice and just changed the FS
identifier.

Well it was on CD1 when I first noticed it was failing (so I tried
CD0 - the RW drive and it still failed), since I've already got
CD0-7 adding more seems a little excessive :)

Not strictly true, according to AsimCDFS 3.10 there are three
tracks (partitions?) on the CD.

DEMON18 ISO 9660
DEMON18 Joliet
DEMON 18 Mac HFS
