Help with running Opendoc please

I am running System 7.1, on my Centris 610, and have got Opendoc, only to 
discover that it won't install unless I have System 7.1.1 or better.

Is there any workround, or is System 7.1.1 one of those that are available
free?

I don't particularly want to upgrade to System 7.5, apart from the money, I
suppose that it will take a lot more memory out of my 8Meg.

I have added Drag&drop and thread Manager, for various programs, so is it
possible that I have all the packages I need really? But the installer is
still objecting?
