Help! StyleWriter is nackered!

Yesterday, between printing one document & the next, something happened to my
StyleWriter I.  Instead of the cartridge running on both the lower (helical)
and upper (smooth) rail, it's now flopped off the upper rail and bangs on the
inside of the case.  I can't see anything broken, loose or bent, nor any way of
reattaching it to the top rail.  Can anyone help me save the cost of a pro
repair with some advice?
