I'm hoping someone will come along with a more exact explaination of what 
you have to do.  Here is what you need to do.

You can UUENCODE the files.  This will convert the files to text and you 
can break them into smaller parts.  Hopefully someone will come along 
with a name of a program on the mac that can UUDECODE.
